You will receive the exact plant shown in the photo. This succulent is potted in a ceramic teacup with small rocks, organic charcoal, and sphagnum moss in the bottom. This creates space for water drainage and prevents fungus and rot. The soil is a cactus/succulent mix and small brown pebbles are used as a top dressing.

Learn More About The Echeveria!

The Echeveria pulvinata is also known as a Chenille Plant because it has thick, fleshy leaves that are covered with soft, silvery-white hairs. It is native to Mexico and is easy to grow, making it a good choice for beginners. It does best in bright, indirect sunlight, but can also tolerate lower light conditions.

Like most succulents, the Chenille plant prefers infrequent watering, only when the soil is completely dry. When watering, try not to get water on the leaves, as they will absorb the water and increase the chance of rot. Since this plant is homed in a cup without drainage holes, it is a good idea to water it with a small squeeze bottle as shown in the photo. You can purchase one of these bottles from us separately for only $4 if desired.

Chenille Plant will spread out, but not grow very tall. It is easy to propagate and will produce off-sets or babies around the mother plant. This succulent will not tolerate cold temperatures, so it needs to be kept between 65 and 85 degrees. If given enough light, it will produce flowers in the late spring and summer. The plant is non-toxic for kids and pets.
