This variety is a cross between a bunching onion and a bulbing onion. This will be the earliest bunching onion in the garden—mild flavor with long tops. Perfect cooked into recipes or sliced as a thin garnish. Vigorous roots maintain the upright 'guardsman' habit of the leaves and this in turn produces a slick bulbless salad onion for summer or autumn.
