I'm super excited to share my love of gardening and help others experience the joy of growing their own vegetables! I've been gardening for 25 years and have learned a lot along the way. I plan to share tips and ideas for planting a successful vegetable garden. I enjoy growing many different types of vegetables and love trying new varieties from both hybrid and heirloom seeds.

My passion for home gardening was passed on to me from my dad, Jim Waltrip. He spent his entire career in the vegetable seed business, with Northrup King, Gurneys Seed & Nursery, and Petoseed/ Seminis Vegetable Seeds. He made a lot of friends and business colleagues over the years who have told me about his success and knowledge of the industry. I'll be sharing more about his storied career in future posts.
