The Mucho Nacho Jalapeño is an extra-large, high-yielding jalapeño variety that grows longer and thicker than standard jalapeños, delivering bold heat and excellent flavor. This early-maturing pepper is perfect for stuffing, grilling, pickling, and fresh use. It boasts thick walls, crisp texture, and a bright green color, maturing to a deep red for a sweeter heat.

  • Days to Maturity: 65-70 days
  • Fruit Size: 4-5 inches long, thick-walled
  • Plant Height: 24-36 inches
  • Planting: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors when temperatures stay above 55°F.
  • Spacing: 18-24 inches apart in rows 24-36 inches apart.
  • Sunlight: Full sun (6+ hours daily).
  • Soil: Well-draining, fertile soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8.
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy.
  • Harvest: Pick green for a zesty, spicy flavor or allow to ripen red for a sweeter heat.

  • Plant directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5-gallon containers. Plant peppers outdoors on a cloudy day, just prior to getting rain. Plant when soil is warm, at least 2 weeks after last frost, and when temperatures remain above 70 F.
