Don’t let the name fool you – Sugar Rush Peach packs a hot pepper punch! Yellow fruit grow to about 3″ long and ripen to a lovely peachy orange color. Definitely a hot pepper but does have some sweetness with almost tropical fruit undertones. Sugar Rush Peach has quite a following and it’s easy to appreciate why with its unique color and flavor combination not found in other peppers.
Sugar Rush Peach peppers grow on high-yielding plants that can reach 5 feet in height. The Sugar Rush Peach pepper averages about 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is not quite as hot as the Habanero pepper, but hotter than the Thai pepper.
